3 weeks agoI truly enjoyed my stay at Co404 Oaxaca. I felt welcomed and safe, this was my first time traveling solo. I loved the location, I walked everywhere and the best food places and iconic thigs to see & do in Oaxaca are within 15 minutes from the location. While I stayed i had the opportunity to join others for games and dancing classes. Celine, one of the volunteers was very helpful. She welcomed me when I arrived at night and helped me get a taxi to the airport. The only cons or areas of improvement I can mention- It was almost impossible to sleep/ rest: I got a private room and I really like the setup but the mattress was one of the most uncomfortable I have slept on. One of the mattress side was clearly the most used, it had a huge indentation that even if i try to sleep on the other side i kept rolling/ falling into it. Also, the heat made it hard to rest. Opening the window & ceiling fan weren't enough; I think if there were an additional floor fan would have made it much better. If i get a better mattress I would definitely come back & bring friends.

2 weeks agoGreat experience all in all. The space is very well designed and covers all needs for remote working: fast internet, lots of space and desks, call booths. The shared kitchen has everything you need and it’s fully equipped. The volunteers were super nice and welcoming, always caring for the wellbeing of the guests. They put an effort into organizing activities like family dinners, hikes, trips, yoga on the roof, which is super nice. I stayed in the dorm and it was super noisy from 5am till late at night. Even with earplugs. So maybe get a private room if it’s available.

3 months agoCo.404 in Oaxaca is the perfect place for nomad workers (digital or not). The workspace is big and highly functional, and there are plenty of booths for videocalls. In the shared spaces you'll always find someone cooking or just hanging out, and always ready for a chat. Oaxaca is a beautiful city, with so much to see and do ... and taste! But just know that once you've been there, all you want is to come back. :)

3 months agoNice Co-Working focused hostel, the upstairs outdoor co-work/common area is really nice. Wifi was very reliable and fast too. Facilities were good also. There are however 2 main issues with Co 404 if you are staying in the dorms: 1) The curtains over the dorm beds are kind of a joke. They are extremely thin, almost see through fabric with huge gaps between the top of your bunk and the curtain rod holding them. If you're on the bottom level anyone walking by can see into your bunk easily. Doesn't offer very good privacy or block out light. 2) The dorm rooms are on the side of the building directly adjacent to the road. The road outside of this room is extremely loud from trucks, buses, cars, etc. You can feel the vibrations from cars driving past all day until it's very late at night. Very hard to sleep until the traffic dies down late at night and early in the morning.

4 months agoOaxaca is a dream and being able to share this city with other incredible travelers in this perfect space was incredible. The co-work space is so beautiful and the rooms, everything you need for an enjoyable long term stay. I stayed for 3 months - and felt more and more at home every day with the wonderful community Co404 has built.
