Located near Lake Balaton, Portus Home is a coliving space in Hungary that gives nomads a place to call home. The community is made up of entrepreneurs, digital nomads, and remote workers who are looking for a place to connect with others and get work done. Portus Home Coliving is in a perfect location and provides easy access to hiking, biking, and water activities at Lake Balaton.
We went there to spend the weekend in one of their flat.
Accommodation is great, modern and comfortable.
Environment is just superb, at the outskirt of a beautiful village, in a super quiet place, perfect to relax, while being close to the Balaton and many great sights and restaurants.
I spent a week at Portus Home for coworking and coliving and it was a great experience. It was part of a Re-Charge program with lots of time to work, development, great cooking and wine-tasting. The environment is great for walking, cycling and discovering Lake Balaton. And Vezprem (the EU cultural capital of 2023) is also closeby! The team and other participants where very welcomming and inspiring. So I would definetly recommand to go and recharge and discover Hungary with the people from Portus Home!
Plus: Design, practical building, beautiful surroundings. Nice interior, with meeting rooms, coffee machine, equipped kitchen, drinks and food selection. Adequate price/value ratio, kind manager/owner. Fast internet.
Minus: In today's 34 degrees, the air conditioning barely worked. It could be because of savings, it could also be that someone was squeamish, because there is always a "super sensitive" who makes all the others sweat like a horse.
Conclusion: great place, but it doesn't work for me because of the temperature, I can't do mental work at 27 degrees.
