2 months agoI spent over a month at Playworking, and it was truly one of the best experiences of my life. My stay was during peak season mid May through early July. I was providing yoga classes to the community along with working remotely during my stay. Montenegro as a country has so much to offer. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, and being a part of the Playworking community allowed me to enjoy it more than I could have imagined. The village surrounding the house is very safe and close by to a market and several beaches. (20-25 minute walk) We had access to bicycles and a motor that allowed us to explore all around the local area and get to these locations quicker if we did not feel like walking. We went down to the water for a sunset paddle board almost every evening I was there, and spent many nights laughing and connecting with new friends in the outdoor space provided at the house. The house is beautiful and very functional. There are good areas for you to store food and have room to cook, plenty of space to get your work done efficiently (the Wifi works great and is reliable), and beautiful views nearby that you can visit to take time for yourself. The best part of staying at Playworking is the community aspect it creates. I had so much fun throughout my entire time there. The environment creates opportunities to make beautiful connections with individuals from all over the world. There are many community dinners, game nights, daily yoga classes, and activities offered for everyone to enjoy together. The community comes together and respects each other in order to create a positive living environment that allows everyone to enjoy their time in this space. There is always someone who can answer any questions you have, and you can communicate with Jeffery if you ever need help. I always felt very safe and supported by the community surrounding me. I would recommend this experience to anyone seeking to enjoy all the beauty Montenegro has to offer. I will be returning as soon as I can!

2 months agoThis was my first time sharing a space in a Coliving, and I couldn't ask for something better. The experience was incredibly fulfilling due to the people I met, both volunteers at the house, and other guests like me. The house itself is located in a tiny village on top of a hill, which is a trade off between tranquility and convenience to stores and facilities, however, the volunteers make sure to arrange enough supermarket visits, and with their good spirit and communication, it was never an issue for me. Speaking about their spirit, they all helped create a good community around the Coliving, by organising activities such as beach escapes, sunset SUPs, Quiz nights, pizza evenings, etc. Sincerely thank you for the unforgettable experience, and that goes with a special mention to Annalise, Armando, Rafael, Tjimen, Liz, and literally every person, whether volunteer or guest, that contributed to a good memory.

3 months agoI stayed at Playworking for 20 days in June it’s expensive. I paid nearly $1000 / $50 per night. It was my first Coliving experience, I thought I would try it out and I was told it was close to the water. The positives: * All the volunteers that are working working there and the other digital Nomads were great. This is variable of course. * The access to paddleboard‘s and discounts on some of the Paddle Boarding and biking adventures. * Even though, they are expensive, I do recommend doing the blue cave and the lake Paddle Boarding excursions.Igor that runs the excursions is great! * The Wi-Fi is good * if you have a house coordinator organizing things to do at the house then you’ll probably have a good time. * Yoga classes & pizza oven nights and dinners out with the crew. The cons: * It can feel pretty isolating. * There aren’t any buses and in the heat of the summer to walk or ride a bike back up the hills from either beach & grocery store is really hot and takes about 40 minutes. * I was told, before I booked, there would be a car available to take us to the beach, grocery store or into town when we needed to go. But that’s not the reality. * We had to rely heavily on one of the other guests who had a car. Which was pretty unfair for him, but he was very nice about it. * There’s no air conditioners or heaters in the rooms depending on the season, this could be a big issue. Some of us were lucky enough to have fans. * My door didn’t lock. * Don’t get room #7. It has small windows & no balcony. If you do, it should be cheaper than the other rooms. * I don’t agree with the things that the owner is asking the volunteer workers to do. Between the two Coliving places in Montenegro, Kotor Nest and Playworking, I think Playworking is probably a better option since Kotor Nest is right in the center of the old town, there are no views, no paddle boards, and the center of the old city gets really loud at night and very hot in the Summer.

a month agoI spent two weeks at Playworking. The room itself is quite basic but the house has everything you need: good inside and outside workplaces, stable internet, kitchen, pizza oven, table tennis. And you also have access to bikes and SUP at a nearby beach. If you are open minded, the community is also great and you can have an amazing experience with the people there and explore the area.

4 months agoPeaceful and chilled place where to work. I stayed there for 2 weeks with a friend and it has been amazing. The villa has everything you need, wifi is good and it even has high performance mountain bikes for free. If you want to work in a relaxed environment, immersed in nature and with many outdoor activities at your fingertips, this is the place to be. The staff is caring and friendly, they organize activities for the people at the house but they are optional, you can decide whether to join or not based on your mood. We established a good and pleasant relationship with all the staff and the other guests. It was definitely a very fun and positive experience. Jedd, the owner, is a very serious man and open to accommodate the guests needs. Good job!
